Frequently Asked Questions

- Do you take posed portraits, or do you focus on capturing natural moments?

I actually do both! I love capturing natural moments because they tell such beautiful, authentic stories. But I’m also skilled at taking posed portraits when clients want something more structured. It really depends on what my clients are looking for, and I’m happy to tailor my approach to suit their needs!

- How do you help couples who feel awkward in front of the camera?

I totally understand that most people aren’t professional models, so it's completely normal to feel a bit awkward in front of the camera! My goal is to create a relaxed and comfortable environment where couples can just be themselves. I guide them with simple, natural prompts that help them interact and feel more at ease. I also encourage lots of laughter and lighthearted moments, so it feels less like posing and more like enjoying each other’s company.

For couples who are nervous about the wedding day photos, I always recommend doing an engagement session beforehand. It’s a great way to practice being in front of the camera without the stress of the big day. Plus, it's an opportunity for us to get to know each other better, which helps make the wedding day feel even more comfortable and natural. By the time the big day arrives, couples feel much more at ease, and the whole experience becomes more relaxed and enjoyable!

- Can we customize a package or add extra hours if needed?

Yes, absolutely! I always create a custom package for each client, tailored to their specific needs. When you fill out the form, there are a number of questions that help me understand exactly what you’re looking for.

And yes, I only book one wedding per day, so there’s always the flexibility to add extra hours even on the wedding day itself. You don’t have to commit to a bigger package upfront – we can adjust as needed to make sure everything runs smoothly and according to your timeline.

Additionally, you can also request a second photographer, an engagement session, or other extra services to make your experience even more special. I’m happy to customize everything to suit your vision for the big day!

- Do you help with planning the wedding day timeline?

Yes, I do help with planning the wedding day timeline! We usually go over this during our first Zoom call, so I can better understand the couple's expectations for the day and how they envision working with me. While the wedding coordinator or planner typically takes the lead in managing the timeline, if you don't have one, I'm more than happy to assist. I have a good sense of how long each part of the day usually takes, so I can help ensure everything flows smoothly and according to plan!

- We're planning a traditional (Chinese/Punjabi/Hindu/Persian/...) wedding. Are you familiar with the ceremony and its specific details?

I absolutely understand how special every moment is at a traditional wedding, especially with all the meaningful details to capture. I’ve had the joy of photographing a wide variety of weddings and am familiar with many beautiful traditions and customs. When you fill out the form, just let me know the specific style of your wedding, and I’d be more than happy to share a full gallery that showcases that kind of celebration. This way, you’ll have a clear idea of what to expect, and we can make sure everything flows perfectly on your big day.

- What is your booking process? Do you require a deposit? What are your payment terms?

Once we’ve selected the package that suits you best, we move on to creating the contract, for which I’ll need your full names. A deposit of one-third of the total package cost is required on the day the contract is signed. After that, your wedding date is officially reserved. The final payment is due the day after the wedding. Payments can be made via e-transfer or PayPal, whichever is more convenient for you. This process helps ensure everything is secure and ready for your big day!

- Can we request additional retouching on certain images?

Yes, absolutely! You’ll have the option to choose whether you’d like your photos fully retouched or if you prefer to keep them natural. Skin correction is included for free. However, if you'd like additional retouching on specific images or further adjustments, such as face or body shaping, hair retouching, or any other specific details, you can certainly request it. The cost will depend on the complexity of the request and the number of photos, and we can discuss the details and pricing separately.

- Do you share our wedding photos on your website or social media? (If so, can we request privacy?)

Yes, I do share wedding photos on my website and social media to showcase my work. However, if you prefer privacy, please let me know when you reach out. Full privacy is available as an additional service, and we can include this request in the contract for an extra fee.
